不瞒你说（bù mán nǐ shuō）: tell you the truth, chẳng giấu gì anh

用法说明:  “不瞒你说”用于句子的开头，用来向亲近或信任的人表达自己的诚意，表示下面要说的话是真的，而且往往是说话者不太愿意告诉别人的真相。类似的说法还有“说实话”。

“不瞒你说(Bù mán nǐ shuō)” is used at the beginning of a sentence to show the speaker’s sincerity to tell the truth to the one he/she puts trust in. In this case, the thing the speaker is going to tell would always be a secret he/she keeps from others. Another expression suggests the same meaning is “说实话(Shuō shíhuà)”.

例句 (Example) 1: 

A：晚上一起去外边吃饭吧。 (How about eating out together this evening?) 

B：不瞒你说，我已经没钱了。(Tell you the truth, I’ve run out of money.)

例句 (Example) 2:

A：你看，我新买的大衣怎么样？(Look, what do you think about my new coat?)

B:  不瞒你说，我觉得不太适合你。(To be honest, I don’t think it’s suitable for you )
